What our Lake District Pottery Courses offer you
Pottery Courses are a great way to learn something new, improve your pottery techniques or practise your current pottery skills to make them perfect. Whether you are new to pottery, it's your hobby or you've been making pots for years, Lake District pottery courses are a holiday to inspire you!
Based in the beautiful Western Lakes, we are in an amazing location, ideal for inspiration and relaxation. Our one week residential pottery courses cover a wide range of potting activities - including hand building, press moulding, throwing, turning, pulling handles, decorating and glazing, kiln firing….
Alternatively why not come and have a taste of pottery on one of our weekend pottery courses - giving you the chance to try the potter's wheel and make your own handbuilt pots.
Our pottery courses are for all ages and based on your needs. We take up to six people but work in small groups of no more than three people, so that we can give help where you need it. We have forty years of pottery experience behind us and we work in both stoneware and earthenware, so if you’ve never made a pot before, or if you are experienced and want to enjoy a week with like-minded people you are equally welcome.
Accommodation is in our old Cumbrian Farmhouse and all meals are home-made. Non-residential pottery courses are available.
